ABOUT ME – ANDREA NAYLOR – BIO
I am a professional artist with over twenty years’ experience capturing the character and spirit of pets, people and wildlife. Working from my home studio in the Rutland village of Cottesmore, I am best known for my expressive pastel portraits and increasingly for my vibrant, looser acrylic paintings that explore movement, light and colour.
Largely self-taught, I have been inspired by leading wildlife and animal artists including David Shepherd and Rita Kirkman, developing my own distinctive style that balances realism with painterly freedom.
Alongside creating original artwork, limited-edition prints and bespoke commissions, I am passionate about sharing my love of art. I run local workshops and classes, encouraging others to build confidence, develop skills and discover the joy of creative expression.
