Deirdre is an experimental artist who loves to capture light and colour, using a variety of media. Her paintings are inspired by her surroundings which are expressed in a loose and free style. Some of Deirdre’s work is abstract, which allows her to experiment with texture, shape and moods.
A largely self taught artist, Deirdre has in past years received training from local professional artists. For many years she organised, and exhibited in the Creative Oundle International Festival exhibitions. As well as the Welland Valley Art Society she is also a member of Peterborough Artists Open Studios and Northamptonshire Open Studios.
