I am a Stamford based artist. I use my love of colour, the drama of light and shade and the use of texture. My paintings capture the emotion and atmosphere and the fleeting moments in time.
I am widely travelled and living In New Zealand for many years has influenced my love of nature and art.
My painting captures the soft dreamlike qualities of landscape and the magical changes the season evokes. It has been said: “Her images of water look as if it is dripping off the canvas” and that “her paintings are not just flat but have all the feelings and emotions in the work”.
Art is one of my biggest passions and giving joy through sharing this form of expression with others gives me such pleasure. I work with different mediums ranging from water colour, oils, pastel, acrylic, and mixed media.
I enjoy commissions which have ranged from portraiture of grandchildren, special events in people’s lives involving figurative work. I also enjoy painting wildlife and decorative floral work.
