“I had always been artistic and sitting at my easel every day during the pandemic brought home to me how precious this time we have on earth is – and how important it is to follow the clues that life shows us. It is summed up beautifully in the last line of a poem by Mary Oliver: “Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”
My art is inspired by the amazing and the ordinary
Working largely in acrylic, I paint intuitively. My still life paintings, abstract landscapes and florals are a joyful, textural, atmospheric reflection of places and spaces that I love, featuring vibrant, energetic brush strokes and multi-layered passages of collage, paint, oil pastel and charcoal.
When I paint it’s from a place of wonder that I long to share. If my art can evoke feelings of joy, peace, excitement and curiosity in you, then I will have truly succeeded”.
